Book Week

Last year I had a "book week", with craft book reviews and giveaways, and I enjoyed it so much I thought "I must remember to do that again next year". Well, I did remember, so....

It's time for another book week! Hurrah!

Actually, I've got such a big stack of books to review (and a whole bunch of giveaways too) that it will probably end up being more like a  "book fortnight" but that doesn't quite have the same ring to it, does it?

The first post will be up tomorrow but in the meantime I'd love to hear what crafty books you've been enjoying lately or if you've got any favourites you'd like to recommend :)

few weeks ago I bought The Colette Sewing Handbook but I really hadn't time to check it out and sew anything from it, I also bought The Practical Guide to Patchwork and there are some really nice projects there! :)

I recently bought your book from Barnes and Noble and have really enjoyed that. Your designs are beautiful. At the same time I purchased a Paper Jewelry book that provided some interesting techniques and many photos of pieces made by designers. I'm always on the lookout for something inspiring. Some of my favorite finds are vintage craft books and magazines from thrift shops.

I love reading craft books almost as much as actually crafting :D
For embroidery I love Aimee Ray's books, quilting ideas come from Kaffe Fassett's book "Simple shapes , spectacular quilts" and Jane Brockets book "The gentle art of quilt making" is fab for seeing the fabric rather than the quilt in the finished quilt.
I'm really starting to get a taste for Japanese craft books, altho I don't read/speak japanese, It leaves them open to interpretation lol

What a great idea, I'm looking forward to seeing all the books you will be reviewing.

My favourite book at the moment has to be "Homemade Gifts Vintage Style". So many wonderful ideas in this book.
