Bargain Craft Books + a Sample Sale
... and look what's inside!
The new edition of my first book, Super-Cute Felt, is currently available from The Book People at the totally bargainous price of just £4.99.
I make very little money from these kinds of discount sales but I always think it's important to share them with you guys when I spot them, because... well, who doesn't love a bargain craft book?
At this price you could totally buy a copy for all your friends and relations this Christmas, haha.
Super-Cute Felt is of course also available from Amazon UK or Amazon USA, from the Book Depository (where you can get free worldwide delivery), or via your local bookshop, or direct from my publisher.
Psst - those Amazon and Book Depository links are affiliate links, which means if you click on the links and buy something I'll get a small percentage for the referral.
In other news: over at the Village Haberdashery they're having a sample sale of lots of items made for their blog tutorials, classes and shop displays... including a whole bunch of wreaths and other bits and bobs made by me!

Make Felt Chicken & Egg Ornaments for Easter
These fun felt ornaments are easy to sew and would look lovely hung on an Easter tree, or elsewhere in your home this Spring. You could also use the templates to make fun felt chicken brooches.
I stitched my ornaments in classic Easter pastels, using wool blend felt from the Village Haberdashery's range. Switch up the colours to match your decor, or add extra embellishments with embroidery thread, sequins or seed beads.

I made all these cards with paper and card from this fab, colourful paper pad. It includes some gorgeously bright colours and was a real joy to craft with in dark, depressing January!

I designed this mobile as a workshop project for The Village Haberdashery last year. Sadly the class didn't go ahead but happily the design is now a tutorial instead - hurrah!
As well as making a full mobile, you could also use this tutorial for making individual felt rainbows, rain clouds and smiling suns. They'd make fab felt brooches or ornaments, or you could use them to decorate other projects - a felt rainbow would look awesome wherever you decide to stitch it.

And here are some handy links to the faux leather tutorials I wrote earlier: a star headband, a mini notebook, and a lightning bolt brooch. The headband, necklace and lightning bolt would also be fab made with felt!

Time for the final tutorial in my Year of Wreaths series: a sparkly snowflake wreath!
This one's a bit late (sorry!) but snowflakes are definitely for the whole of winter and not just Christmas, right?? I hope you'll agree it was worth the wait because I love how this final project turned out.
The wreath is decorated with navy blue yarn, metallic silver thread, sparkly beads and sequins, and five embroidered snowflakes.
You could also use the snowflake embroidery patterns to make felt snowflake brooches or ornaments, or to add some snowy charm to other sewing projects.
