You could use one on a bag perhaps? or to make fab brooches to pin to a coat?
They're unfortunately just too small to be used as coasters (and the backs are slightly rounded so they don't lie completely flat) but I think they'd look great on display in a sewing room.
Hi Katie, the biggest buttons I sell are 12.5 cm... I think you'll have trouble finding a button that big in craft supply stores, but you could try this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/78023942/snugbuttonboard? - it's a chopping board shaped like a button and is the size you need. I have one myself, it's lovely!

No idea, sorry Katie! I bought mine a while ago and judging from the updated product photo they've switched to a different sort of wood.
