I'm working on some sketches for new bird brooch designs, and I'd love to know if you have a favourite kind of bird.
I've already made bullfinches...
... goldfinches....
... bluetits...
... robins...
... greenfinches....
... chaffinches...
... cardinals...
... coaltits...
...and snowy owls...
... but what should I make next?

chickadees!! :)
Living in the city, I've grown very fond of Starlings :)
Your birds are darling, by the way!
cuuuuuuuuuuute! i love chickadees and juncos
steller blue jays... they are very cheeky... and beautiful.
tufted titmouse! so sweet and soft looking...
Bluebirds (the state bird of Missouri) are very pretty and vibrant. They would make a very cute brooch :)
Here's a link to see what the bird looks like, they are small and oh so cute! :)

I love long tail tits, they have such cute faces. Also love barn owls.
Penguins. :)
Parrots maybe?
These are the most adorable things I have seen! I don't know much about birds at all but I would say King Fisher. They fascinate me!
there is nothing left!! erm, kingfisher? we have a squirrel in our garden.
Red-headed woodpeckers or maybe Baltimore Orioles. Love their colors!
Budgies!!
I love Chickadees, however I could easily see a peacock.
those are all fabulous!
how about a hummingbird?
great precision! i love your felty works!
xxxx
Kingfishers have the most beautiful colours, or perhaps a goldcrest?
I think these have already been said - but I love kingfishers and bluejays. There's always the California Quail :)
I agree. Chickadees, I read once, are "the darlings of the bird world". I also really like the tufted titmouse. They are so cute!
Doves? Crows? Can't wait to see what you do next!
Ooh, pigeons or long tail tits would be lovely :D
beautiful! i love birds! and i vote for kingfisher, peacock, hoopoe and white stork :)
A thrush with a lovely speckly chest.
Bluetits and robins are my favourites, but since you already have those, I would say sparrows. Often overlooked, but very cute, I think.
Beautiful!! all birds are wonderful, maybe penguins or parakeets... :)
Pheasants, for they are the most hilarious of birds. Also they are pretty cute-looking :)
i think a blue jay would match your cardinal wonderfully : )
How about a Masked Gnatcatcher:

Lovely birds!
My favourite birds are tits! They are beautiful...and grateful when they get food in winter...And they sing beautiful...Yep, my favourite. :-)
I love both the starlings and the blue jays. The starlings because they are such good fun when chatting together and having a good time ... and blue jays are just so beautiful.
Excellent colors beautiful !!!
wrens or puffins perhaps.
Oh they are so cute! That little Robin is too die for!
seconding the request for a puffin!
Cockatoos or a rooster.
Canaries
Lovebirds
kingfishers are beautiful
Wagtails are very sweet. My 5 year old suggested a peregrine falcon!
I agree with Suzanna: chickadees!
peacock, maybe?
Chickadees (which I see is already popular!) Australian Magpies and Little Corellas :)
Indigo Bunting: http://thundafunda.com/33/animals-pictures-nature/male-indigo-bunting-pictures.php
Exceptionally brilliant blue, very bold looking.
Kingfishers!! *grin*
Your bird pins are really cool!
SongBird
I love cardinals...So beautiful!
Maby you make peacock with rich colors:)) Hello from Ä°stanbul
I came to say parrots (because you could go nuts with all the colours!), but someone beat me to it! Also agree with peacocks, they would be fabulous...ditto penguins. So fun for next winter!
And how about puffins?
Gorgeous work, as always.
xo
If the most-mentioned bird eventually gets made, I'm going to say Kingfishers again in the hope that you pick these!
Teresa
All really lovely, especially the robin and geenfinch....we see a lot of magpies and rooks here, not the cutest of birds though, how about swallows and swifts?
Peacocks, green bee eaters, cuckoos and maybe even a bird of paradise!
what about the wee wren?
Red winged blackbird!
flamingos!
What about a superb fairy wren?

If you wanted to 'branch out' (yes, I kill me!) you could do some aussie parrots like major mitchell or sulphur-crested cockatoos or eclectus parrots or rosellas??
xxxCate
ils sont tous beaux,, peut être les mésanges, les rouge-gorges...
Peacock
chickadee
They are all so beautiful!!!!
...Robins are my favourities
:)
I love wrens, great shape, but not that colourful. We have a beautiful kingfisher on our river - now that's colourful. x
I don't know if any one else suggested a gouldian finch, but here's what they look like

I second the blue wrens, I have the cutest little family that lives in my backyard. They are so sweet and brave and beautiful!
They're lovely! I've been lucky enough to see both a Green Woodpecker & a Great Spotted Woodpecker in my south London garden recently. They're both beautiful - I especially love their long bills.
I do love wagtails, though I'm not sure how recognisable they'd be if you couldn't see their tails wagging. Do you do pigeons, I wonder...?
A Kingfisher would rock too!!
We love your birds. Our current favourites are a small bird called the Ashy Prinia (Ashy wren warbler) and the White Breasted kingfisher.
-Namitha and Anant, Delhi, India.
Classic blackbirds would be fab! Or how about Song Thrush's? I love their speckly chests!
We have Herons visiting our garden pond and there are lots of Little Egrets here in Sussex. My favourite bird in our garden is the Bluetit. All of your birds are utterly brilliant. Marion x
Bluejays!
Nuthatch! (And seconding votes for barn owl and wren)
they are gorgeous!
