Teatowel Addiction
My name is Laura, and I'm a handmade teatowel addict.
It's sad but true, one of my very favourite things to treat myself to is a nice teatowel from Etsy... I'm building up quite a stash of them:
(Including designs from Skinny laMinx, Mr.PS, Showpony, Flowerpress and Abigail*Ryan)
Honestly I don't think I need to buy another teatowel as long as I live, but keep adding designs like this and this and this to my wishlist...
Are there any other tea towel addicts out there? What do you like to treat yourself to on Etsy?

That is quite a stack of teatowels! D: One always needs plenty of clean teatowels though...
I love pretty tea towels :) I used nice ones to make curtains in my workshop because I didn't want to use them for dishes.
Just to add to your addiction, these ones are very sweet if you're a Jane Austen fan: http://snowinateapot.blogspot.com/2010/03/in-vain-i-have-struggled.html
Lovely blog. :) x
You could never have too many tea towels and the your collection is lovely. My Mum is always complaining that I don't have enough tea towels so I must have a look at Etsy. Thanks for the links.
Have you had a look at www.ToDryFor.com?
Amazing!
I like teatowels! It makes a dull job much more pleasurable ;o) I like to buy them as presents as well.
Maybe someone should make you wipe up a huge amount of washing up with your teatowels to break your addiction lol.
you might find this article helpful in finding some new uses for your lovely purchases! http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2010/may/04/tea-towels
The prints on the teatowels are lovely! I think I would start making them into aprons and things so I could show them all off!
Lol, my Nan used to have a tea towel collection and made some of them into little skirts for me when I was a kid. Sadly as this was the 70's, the pattern's could be quite vile!
I use 'posh' tea towels with bag handles - a quickie designer bag!
I make tea towels & sell them on etsy...started making them because I loved having so many around - and so happy to hear there are people addicted to them!
Beautiful photo of your stack of towels. They look so touchable.

hahahahah that is quite a stack... I have to admit I treat myself to ribbons and other supplies I still have no use for... =P
Oh I know what you mean. I would definitely had a collection of tea towels if I could. I love your stack, love the colours :D
Wow you have a lot !!! I am addicted to paper... I can not stop buying notebooks, pads and lots of nice paper!!
Nice collection !!!
I like teatowels but I am a paper addict!!
Thanks for the links everyone - more lovely teatowels! hurrah!
daisyfleur - yes, they definitely make doing the washing up a happier experience! I've got a dishrack in the shape of a rabbit too :)
I love paper too, nice notecards especially (I'm in love with all the letterpress stuff on Etsy and anything block printed), I wish more people sent letters nowadays...
I love teatowels but don't own any handmade ones (yet). There are so many lovely choices I can never decide!
Hi Laura! Thanks for loving my Peacock tea towel...I love them too, imagine how many there are over here in my studio. That stack of tea towels is delicious!
Ha! That's quite a stack...one i'm afraid to show Abigail in case she gets competitive! She has quite the stack herself (our poor bulging kitchen drawers are bursting at the seams!).
Thanks for the mention of our work- we're currently working on new designs, so hopefully they will make it on to your wish list ;)
I'm jealous of your collection! I'm going to start trying to catch up now.
My last favorite tea towel purchase was from http://www.etsy.com/shop/CasaMurriguez. I love her designs and that they are printed on organic cotton to boot!
OMG I went in search of others like me. I must have 100 tea towels & decorate w them every season. My kitchen is always on point
