A Shop Update! Plus, Last Order Dates for Christmas
I've been adding a few new things to my Etsy shop, but first it's time to talk about last order dates for Christmas.
If you've got your eye on something in my shop for Christmas, please order before these dates to give your parcel a good chance of reaching you in time:
EASTERN EUROPE & countries/regions not listed below: order by Friday 4th December
GREECE, NEW ZEALAND, AUSTRALIA: order by Monday 7th December
WESTERN EUROPE, CANADA & USA: order by Friday 11th December
UK: order by Friday 18th December
I will continue to post parcels after these dates but your order may not arrive in time for Christmas :)
Right, onto the much more interesting part of this blog post: new stuff in my shop!
There's a set of felt Christmas pudding ornaments:
And an assortment of embroidered felt baubles:
These are all samples I stitched for blog tutorials, so I've listed them at bargain prices over in my sample sale.
I'm also having a clear-out of my fabric stash!
I'll be selling all these lovelies, and gradually listing them with my other destashed crafty supplies this evening. If you make a purchase then see something else you'd like to buy that's listed later, I'll post both orders together and refund you any excess shipping :)
UPDATE: all the fabric has now been listed HERE.
Not new but also worth a look if you're doing some Christmas shopping:
... there are lots of bargain felt brooches still left in my sample sale...
... and more Christmas ornaments, too!
You'll also find a selection of fabric, felt beads, buttons and other craft supplies...
... plus pompom gift-wrapping packs.
Just £2 for a pack of 6 fluffy pompoms + coordinating yarn to decorate your gifts this Christmas. I think these would look especially awesome combined with silver wrapping paper!

It's Nice to Be Nice
If you've bought some felt from me recently, your parcel has probably had this pretty tape on it...
... lovely Russian dolls reading "It's What's Inside That Counts". Here's a better shot of it on my desk, earlier this summer along with some tape from Summersville:
I love this tape, and adore how cheerful it makes all the parcels I send out. So I was delighted to see that the designer, Hazel Nicholls, has some new tape in stock...
... a biscuit-y "It's Nice to Be Nice" (image from her Etsy shop).
I've got that design as a print (it's currently in a box somewhere while I don't have space to hang it, but it used to hang in the kitchen in my old flat) and I do love a) biscuits and b) being nice, so I couldn't resist buying the tape version to add to my parcel-packing supplies.
I just ordered some this morning, so it should be making an appearance on my parcels sometime soon :)

Sale Bargains!
I've been working on my laptop this weekend while watching lots and lots and lots of sport on the telly. I've mostly been doing my accounts (filling in spreadsheets has never been this exciting before!) but I've also been updating the sale section over in my Etsy shop.
I've added a lot of new things to the sale section, including felt flower necklaces (now half price) ...
... and an assortment of butterfly brooches.
I've also reduced the price on a few things that have been hanging around on sale for a while now, so there's lots of pieces available for just £3, £4 or £5. Hurrah!
Click here to check out the full range of sale items.

Updating my Working Wardrobe
One of the great pleasures of being self-employed / working from home is that you can wear what you like to work. There are no office dress codes to worry about when your office is in your house and you're your own boss!
I'm not a fan of working in my pajamas (apart from when I'm ill or working on a crazy deadline) but I do like to be comfy. Most of my old t-shirts were getting a bit past it so I decided to treat myself to a few new ones from Etsy for wearing "to the office".
Here are a selection of shirts from some of the fab Etsy shops I discovered while going on my t-shirt hunt (I've bought some of them & have my eye on others). Etsy is great but it can definitely take a while to hunt through all those search results to find stuff you like, so I thought I'd share my finds in case any of you guys also fancied some t-shirt shaped additions to your wardrobe (working or otherwise).
Fox t-shirt from Gnome Enterprises:
Lion t-shirt from New Duds:
Cassette Tapes t-shirt from Crawlspace Studios:
& Rock & Roll Casette Tape t-shirt from Last Earth:
Moth / Butterfly / Dragonfly t-shirt from Friendly Oak:
Moon t-shirt from Blackbird Tees
Owl t-shirt from Zen Threads:
I like a lot of Zen Threads' shirts, especially this ship t-shirt:
And as an English Lit grad I love love love these literary tees... Robert Frost t-shirt from Neena Creates:
& The Importance of Being Earnest t-shirt from Aoristic:
(P.S. If you're a fellow book lover, you might also want to check out Out of Print Clothing who sell t-shirts printed with old book covers. Ah how I wish their Maltese Falcon t-shirt came in women's sizes!)

Bargains + Parrots
I've added a few things to my Etsy shop this week...
There's a few bargain felt bundles:
A selection of "not quite perfect" felt squares that are have a small mark on them or are slightly mis-shapen - update: these have now been sold.
And some grey felt squares in colours I don't normally sell (I ordered these by mistake, oops!).
There's also a bargain bundle of elasticated sequin trim - 20 metres for just £4! Update: these have now been sold.
And there's also an extra large embroidery thread box (+ 72 embroidery threads and bobbins to wind them onto). This box is 1cm deeper than the other boxes I sell, has movable dividers and is sturdier than the other boxes but I've listed it at the same price. Update: this has now been sold.
... and a large pirate parrot to wear as part of a pirate costume. Arrr!
They can all be found over in my Etsy shop.

I Need More Walls
I've begun the long process of umming and aahing and arranging and rearranging that will end (eventually) with me having lots of lovely pictures on the walls in my bedroom and new studio space...
I got out all my artwork at the weekend, spread most of the smaller pieces out across my studio floor and spent a lazy few hours sorting them by colour, thinking about possible arrangements and measuring the unframed prints and posters ready for some frame-shopping.
These slightly blurry photos were taken for reference so I won't have to spread them all out on the floor like this again!
They are basically photographic evidence that Etsy is a very dangerous place - most of my "proper" art (not just postcards and pages from old books or magazines that I couldn't resist framing) has been bought via Etsy. I am forever finding awesome new artists on there to add to my "favourites", and as you can see I've already got more prints than I know what to do with. Oh well :)
(If you click on the photos you can see them on Flickr, where I've added some notes with the artists names in case people see something they like... if there's something I've not labelled, just give me a shout!)
