Snow Globe and Angel Felt Ornaments & Embroidery Patterns

I've added two of my Christmas patterns to my shop this week!

My snow globes tutorial includes templates and step by step instructions for sewing felt snow globe ornaments, a snow globe embroidery pattern, and instructions for using the embroidery pattern to make an embroidered ornament.

 

 

 
My angels tutorial includes templates and step by step instructions for sewing two styles of felt angel ornaments, an angel embroidery pattern, and a tutorial for making angel Christmas cards.

 

 

 

When you buy any patterns from my shop you can of course make lots of things for yourself and to give as gifts, but you can also sell the finished items at craft fairs or in your Etsy shop, etc, as long as you credit me as the designer.

Christmas Ornament Tutorial: Sew a Felt Angel Bauble

This angel bauble is part of a set of cute felt Christmas ornaments I designed for docrafts Creativity magazine last year.

So far I've shared tutorials for making a snowman bauble, a stripey stocking, a reindeer bauble, and a sparkly star. The final few projects will be shared here on my blog in the next few weeks.

A Choir of Angels for Christmas

Way back last year I posted a photo of some secret stitching I was working on for my "Crafty Christmas" series... but when the series got cut short due to my sudden move, the project ended up sitting in a box for months rather unloved. Finally (only a year late!) you can see what I was working on...

... an angel embroidery pattern! I was so happy with how this turned out when I first stitched it last year, it's great to be able to share it with you guys at long last.

I'll be sharing the free pattern on my blog later this week, along with a whole bunch of other crafty projects based on the same angel design. This is one good thing about putting a project in a box and coming back to it a year later - looking at it fresh helps spark a whole bunch of new ideas!

As well as the embroidery pattern, I'll be sharing "how tos" for sewing two styles of felt angel ornaments to hang on your Christmas tree ...

... plus some ideas for other festive paper crafting projects you could use the angel motif for.
