Flower Sale

All this lovely spring weather has inspired me to do some spring cleaning in my shops. Lots of my Eco Flower brooches and hair combs are now on sale over in my Etsy shop:

All my Eco Flowers were created using felt made from recycled plastic bottles, and each one is topped with a vintage button from my stash. Grab a bargain and help me make room for some new designs!

Button Flowers

I'm doing lots of nice simple sewing projects at the moment, to keep myself entertained while I sit and rest and try to properly recover from my bout of flu.

One of the projects I've been working on is choosing vintage buttons for lots of new eco flowers...
These flowers have been my lazy late-night project for weeks, sitting in front of a film and cutting out petals or sewing them together, and as you can see I've gradually built up quite a collection! It's lovely finally choosing buttons for them.

Like my other eco flowers, these are all made from the Kunin ecospun felt I bought earlier this year, which is made from recycled plastic bottles. The next task will be to turn the large flowers into brooches and the smaller ones into pretty hair combs.

Eco Flowers

I finally made something with the "ecospun" felt I ordered a couple of months ago...
... lots and lots of flowers! I'm really pleased about being able to offer an eco-friendly product (the felt is made from recycled plastic bottles) and the colours are very yummy, which I think makes for some very yummy flowers :)

Each flower is made up of lots of individual petals and topped with a vintage button from my stash, making each finished piece one of a kind. I was just choosing the buttons when I took these photosThe larger flowers are 12 cms / 4 and a half inches across and will become big statement brooches, and the smaller ones will be fascinators thanks to a pack of little plastic combs I bought last week.
