Slightly Different Every Time

One of the many pleasures of handmade things is that when you make a batch of the "same" design each version comes out slightly different with a special charm all of its own...I notice the differences particularly when I'm making birds and other little creatures, as each one ends up with a slightly different character or personality. Well, in my mind they do at least :)

As you may have guessed, I am still bird-obsessed and making lots of robins. Some will be brooches and others ornaments, accessories for you and your Christmas tree:

UPDATE: My robin design is now available as a sewing pattern! Visit my shop to see all my printable PDF patterns

Part of the beauty of handmade is that each one is totally unique, with a personality of its own me thinks :-) If I were settled (travelling at moment) I would definitely have some of these beautiful robins for my tree! Enjoying your blog.

What lovely birds. The last batch are cute as well.

I agree with Fanciful Alice regarding handmade goods being unique.

Robins are just such a wonderful bird, they always remind me of 'The Secret Garden' which was one of my all time favourite books as a child. Yours are just darling, and I'm mightily pleased they are all different. There is too much 'reproduction' in this world and not enough individuality ... climbs down from soapbox now :D
