Heart-Felt Holidays

I've got some fun news to share with you today...

The lovely people at Lark Books are publishing a follow-up to their Christmas craft book Fa la la la Felt.

It's called Heart-Felt Holidays and it contains "40 charming projects for Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and more."

And it includes SIX whole projects by me. Yay!

Wanna see my projects?

There's cake toppers for birthday cakes and cupcakes:

A version of my popular butterfly mobile for a baby shower:

Heart baubles for Valentine's Day:

Lavender "teabags" for Mother's Day:

Manly moustaches for Father's Day:

Plus a pirate eyepatch and parrot for Talk Like a Pirate Day:

... which also includes instructions for making a half-size parrot to wear as a brooch:

I can't wait to see a copy of the finished book, and to see everyone else's projects.

Heart-Felt Holidays is currently available to pre-order on Amazon USA and Amazon UK. Although it's officially due to be published in April in the USA the books will apparently be shipping to US stores very soon. Hurrah!

Congrats again! I'm hoping to post a tutorial for my Bon Bon Bunnies soon (this month hopefully) and this book reminded me of that. Love the cake toppers those look really cute ^_^

How DO you keep up with it all?

Huge congrats Laura! I adore the cake topper idea. I would absolutely love to make them for our wedding cake. I'm not the best with felt though. Congrats again, six amazing projects :)

Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished book when it arrives.

Tumus - Haha, I don't keep up at all, really! I was working on the projects for this just after I'd finished my own book... I don't think I did much housework etc in those months :D

Hydrangea Girl - the cake toppers are super easy, I promise :)

Laurraine - it's always so thrilling having work chosen for a book, I was so delighted when Lark selected 6 of my designs for this! The wait between submitting the projects and seeing the finished book just makes it even more exciting :)

Janey - thankyou! I don't think I'd ever drawn a parrot before so it was a bit of a challenge, but I'm so pleased with how it turned out!
