Behind the Scenes + Guest Posts

Regular visitors may have noticed that things have been a bit quiet on my blog this week. I don't normally tend to talk about very personal stuff here, but this is where I share my crafty life and unfortunately at the moment life is getting in the way of the crafting.

My boyfriend of almost 7 years is now very sadly my ex-boyfriend, and I'm in the process of dealing with the heartbreak and the logistics of moving out of our shared flat and into my parents spare room.

I'm setting up a temporary new workspace in my parents study (all my supplies and stock are in a mountain of boxes at the moment waiting to be unpacked over the weekend) and will be focusing my energies over the next few weeks and months on keeping my shops running, on getting emails replied to and parcels packed and posted.

Hopefully I will get back to crafting and my normal blogging schedule sometime soon but in the meantime posts from me may be a little sporadic. Instead, I'll be hosting a series of guest posts from other bloggers, makers and other crafty types.

If you've got a tutorial, a fun crafty project, a craft-related story, any Etsy/Folksy business tips, a craft book review, or anything else you'd like to share which you think my readers would be interested in, I'd love to hear from you. If you'd like to write something specially that would be fab, but I'd also be happy to republish a favourite post from your blog.

If you would like to contribute a guest post, please get in touch! You can email me at: mail [at] lupinhandmade [dot] com or leave a comment on this post with your email address and I will get back to you as soon as I can with more information (please note that comments will be published unless you request otherwise). I will basically need either text + blog friendly small images OR a link to a post on your blog I can get text etc from... PLUS a short bio/introduction for you and any links you want me to use, e.g. to your blog or website.

I'm so sorry to hear about your break-up, my heart goes out to you, I went through a very tough break-up several years ago when I broke up with my ex-fiance. It was was incredibly difficult but with the help and support of family and friends I got through it. I'm sure through the coming months you'll have similar support from those around you.

I'll be in touch with you directly about doing some blogging, it would be an honour as your blog is one of my favourite daily reads.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm sure you'll find the positive side of things and start afresh. It's nowhere near in the same league but I've found that since I broke up with my boyfriend of 20 months last month I've been better at getting out and doing things I like :)
Best wishes,
Sarah

Sorry to hear about the break-up. Keep in mind that time heals everything and that hopefully in not a very long time you'll be able to see things under a different perspective.

In difficult times, the smallest gestures count a lot. So don't be ashamed to ask for help.

Take care
Fernanda

So sorry to hear about the break-up. Nothing is worse when you go through something like this and then have to add moving into the mix. Moving house is seriously the work of the devil. My condolences. And if you get into a very tight spot on guest spots, I think I could come up with a little something. You can email me at ukxenia at gmail dot com.

Oh, transitions can be so hard, especially when the heart is involved. I always remember my grandma saying 'this too shall pass.' It's helped remind me that everything changes and to just hold on!

Sorry to hear you are going through this heartache, a 'hope you're ok' tweet didn't seem quite enough.

Hope the comfort of home helps, take care of yourself petal, will be keeping an eye out for you on these interwebs, virtual hugs ready whenever you need one xo

I have to agree with KathyH. She wrote -
"You are a talented and beautiful young woman who provides inspiration and beauty to countless people. Don't forget your gifts during this time."

I know you have inspired me(you're actually one of my blogland heroes). I made my first felt brooch after reading your blog. I so admired your hand stitching and your bold design that I thought I'd give it a go. Our styles couldn't be more different, and I'm not one-tenth as prolific as you are, but I don't think I would have developed an interest in felt if I hadn't seen your lovely blog.

All the best to you during this tough, tough time.
- Lisa

I'm so very sorry to hear about your break up. That is very sad. I don't have any words to help you feel better...wish I did. But I'm sending positive, healing vibes your way. Take your time and cry whenever you feel like it. Crying always makes me feel better. Happy thoughts headed your way.

Really sorry to hear your are going through a hard time. To make you feel a little better most things that seem terrible do have a silver lining in the end, sometime you have to wait a while but it usually arrives. x

I can do a little bloggy about homemade gifts if you wish, I recently make a kiddies one - not sure if it is your market but am happy to help.

And if there's any post on my blog (which is also very, very felty) that you'd like to borrow, let me know. I'm glad to help.
