I did however neglect to take my 365 photo, so it shall have to wait for tomorrow. In the meantime, here's a screenshot from yesterday of one of my moustache disguises on the Etsy front page...

The Power of the Etsy Front Page
It was a glorious day today, the first proper day of spring, sunny and mild and generally rather cheering. I took full advantage of the weather and spent the day tinkering with plants, having a bit of a spring clean and flinging all the windows open so I could do some pungent DIY: mucking about with primer and varnish and making a terrible mess in the process :)
I did however neglect to take my 365 photo, so it shall have to wait for tomorrow. In the meantime, here's a screenshot from yesterday of one of my moustache disguises on the Etsy front page...
... for anyone who has ever wondered about the "front page effect": they were viewed about 600 times while they were up there! The exposure also led to 19 people marking them a favourite (and 34 marking my shop as a favourite) and caused a flurry of convos and a couple of sales. Many thanks are due to missbeahaven for curating such a stylish treasury and for being kind enough to add my item, and to gemmafactrix for being such a great model!

Always Remember to Charge Your Batteries
My camera batteries needed charging. I didn't charge them. What an idiot I am...
So, no photos from me today and instead a double dose of 365 fun tomorrow.
In the meantime though, if you have an Etsy account please head on over to this forum thread and vote for your favourite entrant in the UK Etsy "sweets from your childhood" challenge. Everyone has been really inspired by this month's theme, and the entries range from jewellery to ceramics to art to soft toys... there's even a pair of knickers! The votes will be counted at midday GMT tomorrow (Sunday 2nd March), so please get voting...
Here are just a few of the entries (sneakily including my dolly mixture brooch, bottom right)
1. (39/ 365) crafting / Vintage sweet notebook Uk challenge entry, 2. sweet bag with sherbet pips, 3. candy bracelet, 4. Last three toffees bowl, 5. Meet Fizzy!!, 6. Flying Saucers Necklace, 7. Crayon Roll and Notepad, 8. the last one..., 9. Dolly Mixtures brooch

365 / 177 - Being Disorganised
Today I was too disorganised to remember to take my 365 photo, and now there is no light. Checking my camera, I realised that I wouldn't have been able to take photos anyway as I forgot to put the batteries on to charge yesterday. Oops. A double helping of pictures and crafty musings tomorrow, hopefully!
In the meantime, a small "yay!" as I noticed that 2,500 people have my shop marked as a favourite on Etsy...
... a medium-sized "wow!" because my Flickr photos have been viewed over 40,000 times (though most of those were probably my mum ...
... and a big "hurrah" for the nice mention my teacups got on the Craft blog yesterday (hello to anyone following the link from over there!). My sitemeter has been quite overwhelmed today thanks to that one, lots of visitors :)
