Flower #2

It's been a while since I've blogged, hasn't it? Despite my radio silence I have been busy doing lots of crafty things... including stitching a second version of my flower embroidery pattern:

Click here to see my earlier post about the first version.... which I seem to have photographed the other way up to this one! Oops.

I think I prefer this simpler look, and I'm very pleased with my colour choices this time round (which, of course, are similar to the original felt version of this design).

I stitched the whole thing with backstitch. Nice and easy!

Here's a view of the back - because I was stitching with quite dark colours on thin, pale fabric I took care to keep my stitching as neat as possible and not carry any threads across the work:

Fancy stitching a flower of your own? I'll be sharing the pattern here on my blog sometime soon :)

UPDATE: This embroidery pattern is now available as part of my Romantic Flowers sewing pattern! Visit my shop to see all my printable PDF patterns

That's so pretty!! Oh man, the internet is just too inspiring... So far I want to knit a blanket, start scrapbooking, and now do more stitchery!!

Thanks Bekah! I feel the same when reading blogs - too many fun projects, too little time! :)
