So, I've got some nice links to share with you today instead.
I'm delighted to have my felt blackbirds tutorial featured in the new issue of UK Handmade.
UK Handmade is a great, quarterly online magazine "committed to showcasing and promoting the best creative talent the UK has to offer." Click here to read the current issue and check out the back issues too!
I was also very flattered to be interviewed recently by the lovely Leanne of Knit me a cake - you can read my interview here.
I'm being very tempted by this lovely looking book: Liberty: British Colour Pattern.
I am totally supposed to be saving money at the moment and not treating myself to things but Amazon and The Works both have it available for a bargain price and it is such a very long time until my birthday rolls round (I was a summer baby and it is really nowhere near summer).
Other recent additions to my "oh I suppose I can wait for my birthday if I absolutely must" wishlist are the Bright Bazaar book...
... and Decorate with Flowers, both of which look like they're going to be pretty darn gorgeous.
Finally, I've totally failed to get round to sorting out a new Valentine's Day -themed tutorial to share this year (2014 is moving too fast!), but you can find a round-up of some of my old Valentine-themed and heart-covered projects here.

I printed off your blackbird patterns yesterday and hopefully will get around to sticking them today. I've made several different little felt birds lately and I'm planning what sort of display to put them in.
Love the blackbird and his sparkly wings!
Just read your interview with Leanne at Knit me a cake- so fun to learn where Bugs and Fishes comes from!! My daughter and I, instead of Hugs and Kisses, use Hogs and Quiches! This comes from a birthday card I received when I was a teenager...lots of years ago! Now your blog name has a whole new meaning- love it!! And of course, quite adore you, too Laura! We love seeing where your Nice Days Out take you- my daughter sooo wants to travel to London- and I just may have to go with her and see the lovely places you show and write about in person! Thanks for being a bright spot to our days- you are much appreciated!! Warm regards to you from the Pacific Coast in the US!
Linda - I hope you'll have fun making the blackbirds!
Helen - thanks :)
Kathi - thanks so much for your lovely comment! I'm so glad you've been enjoying my blog & my Nice Days Out. Hogs and Quiches is quite delightful :)
I think that Liberty book is about to go onto my birthday wish list too!
littleblackduckblog - I couldn't resist buying a copy! I'm being good though and have got my mum to hide it from me until my birthday rolls round :)
