My crochet blanket is getting larger:
The colours are a bit bright in that photo - they look more like this in real life:
It'll still be a while before it's finished... I want it to be quite a bit bigger, so we can use it on the double bed in the spare room, and it's currently taking over an hour to crochet a single round!
It's proving to be a great "end of the evening" project: simple and super-relaxing.

It's looking really great, lovely colours - well done! Keep up the hooky business & looking forward to the ta-dah! :)
oh wow. how wonderful! :D
You've done a really great job for a first crocheted blanket! The colours work very well together.
It looks great! I made a giant granny square too but it's only about 1m wide and it took hours and hours, so I can't imagine how long one for a double bed will take! It's shaping up nicely tho!
Wow! You are making great progress indeed. I love it. ~Kelly

Lovely colours! I have just finished mine. It is smaller than yours I think, but was taking almost a ball of wool per round. Very relaxing to do in the evenings.
Thanks guys xx The one downside of stitching the whole blanket in one big square like this is you have to sit with it on your lap as you stitch, and it gets pretty toasty on summer evenings! Hopefully we'll have lots of chilly evenings so I can get it finished soon :)
Félicitation si c'est une première réalisation ! Les couleurs sont très jolies.
Mmm, this is such a neat and tidy crochet job! I am super impressed. I'm hoping to tackle my first Afghan this week - fingers crossed I don't destroy it.
Good luck! :)
One of the things I really like about crochet is how easy it is to unravel a bit and re-do it if it goes wrong. I've always found that almost impossible to do in knitting, I always pick the stitches up incorrectly afterwards / drop them completely.
