I have been thoroughly spoilt this Christmas. Among other assorted lovely things I'm now the proud owner of...
... some gorgeous teatowls from New House Textiles, including two teatime-themed designs by Charlotte Farmer. I know, I know, I don't exactly need more teatowels, do I? but they are so very nice... (images taken from the New House Textiles website)
... some adorable owl print fabric by Cloud9 Fabrics, much admired and finally purchased from Saints and Pinners thanks to some Christmas money.
... brilliant brooches from Made By Anna - another Christmas-money-funded treat - an oak leaf and an ampersand, so nice and both total bargains. I'd been oohing over Anna's brooches for a while but when she added the ampersands to her shop I could resist no longer! (Images taken from Anna's shop)
Plus - thanks to the boyfriend, who I think regards it as an investment in "a bit of peace and quiet" - many happy hours of Agatha Christie fun:
I should be able to get quite a bit of sewing done while watching / listening to that lot! :)
cool pressies, esp love the 'cakes' teatowel!
ReplyDeleteI too treated myself to the Poirot boxset with Christmas money (addicted to Agatha Christie) & have previously bought some of the scrummy owl fabric from s&p it's so lovely x
I love that owl patterned fabric, have bookmarked Saints & Pinners now, just the kind of shop I've been looking for! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, loving the toadstool teatowel. Kx
ReplyDeleteI was going to comment on the tea great tea towels, and then I scrolled down and saw the fabric...and then I scrolled down and saw the oak leaf brooch! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love the tea-towels and the fabric is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDrooling over the cups and biccies towels!!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous presents. Love the tea towels, and the oak leaf brooch is gorgeous. As for the Poirot box set's I'd love to settle down with some sewing and watch them. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteoooh you lucky lady! I was considering some books on tape whilst perusing charity shops yesterday, but was worried I would get too distracted from my crafting! That or really dislike the readers voice! But maybe I should give it a go.
ReplyDeleteVicki - audiobooks are definitely worth a try! You could try listening to some radio dramas or free audiobook downloads online first to see if they suit you? You can listen to lots of books for free here: http://librivox.org/
ReplyDeleteI really like the Agatha Christies to listen to when I'm sewing because I like all the narrators and because the plots are all gentle and slightly familiar it doesn't matter too much if I miss a bit while I'm concentrating on something particularly tricky!
I like Agatha Christie's books and films. You are lucky :) you listen to book.
