A Bit of Baking

I haven't done any baking for MONTHS... but yesterday a friend posted on Facebook that she was spending the whole Bank Holiday baking tasty treats and, well, the urge to do my own bit of baking was just too hard to resist.

Nothing fancy - just some simple chocolate biscuits...

... but oh my goodness they were tasty. And so quick and easy and enjoyable to bake that it makes me wonder, why do I not do this every week??

  4. Yummy! The reason I don't bake every week is that I then "have" to eat all the goodies and would soon be the size of a house!

  9. The recipe is called "Granny Boyd's Biscuits"... it's from Nigella Lawson's book "how to be a domestic goddess" but I guess you may be able to find it online somewhere?

They're a great "emergency" biscuit recipe as you just need store cupboard things + butter. I overcooked them a bit as I've not baked in this oven before but they were still very tasty :)
