    What a wonderful treasure. My grandmother wasn't a sewer at all. ALthough I do have her old thimble. I suppose she must have used it for mending.

    Christine - yes, I think a bit of sewing was a part of most of our grandmothers' lives out of make-do-and-mend necessity!
