With dreams of making some patchwork things this year, I treated myself to some fabric scrap packs from Manda (Treefall Design) on Etsy.
Each pack contains a random assortment of scraps from 2inch strips upwards, and each scrap is a different pattern, so it was really thrilling unpacking them and seeing what patterns there were! These are just a few of my favourites...
... but they're all quite lovely! Now, what shall I make...?
Thats a really good way to buy fabrics for quilting and small projects, you get a variety without having to buy dozens of FQ'S. There's normally loads on ebay as well
ReplyDeleteomg this is a good idea.. unpacking was surely very exciting! i would make a blanket for my bed, cuz i always wanted a patchwork blanket covering the bed but when i tried to do it it was croocked.. but maybe i'll try another time;d let us now of course what you will make from it;d
ReplyDeletecongratulations on your blog, already part of my favorites.

ReplyDeleteOohh, I need to go shopping now. Those bundles are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat about some cushion covers?
I love patchwork but the trouble is there's too much choice - no good for a ditherer who can't make up her mind (me)!
ReplyDeletehow much did these cost? the seller seems to have sold them all now so i don't think the prices are still there. x
ReplyDeleteLovely selection! I was so tempted to buy some of Manda's scraps, as she always uses such lovely fabric, but since I'm theoretically destashing that seemed a little silly...
ReplyDeleteChloe - they were $7 each
ReplyDeleteJo - I'm supposed to be destashing too! Manda has such great taste I knew these would be well worth buying :)
Ooh lots of goodies there. Would love to get that through the post!
