I've been stocking up on lots of supplies this week, and while buying lots of much more sensible things I just couldn't resist treating myself to this giant roll of polkadot ribbon...
... and this yummy felt trim:
... and this yummy felt trim:
I'm going to use the ribbon to tie up bundles of felt and orders that need giftwrapping, but I've got no idea what I could use the trim for (it was just too gorgeous to resist!). It's about 20cm wide and I've got a couple of metres of it so there's lots to play with... Any ideas?
I was thinking maybe using it as part of a notebook cover, though I have no idea how.
ReplyDeleteI'd use the trim as an accent on a pincushion, decorative cushion, or a plain kraft gift tag or thank you note. Such a rich, happy colour!
ReplyDeleteOoo, that yellow trim is lovely. Maybe some kind of bracelet/cuff?
ReplyDeleteIt would look lovely and really enhance the pattern to back it with black. I don't know what you could do with it then - the note book cover sounds like a good idea. I would suggest a hairband if it was narrower - 20cm is VERY wide!

that yellow is wonderful!! perhaps it would work if you covered a pen pot (lots of peoples use old baked bean tins) with it...perhaps use a backing fabric in a contrasting colour...
ReplyDeleteor edging on a notice board?
I love the yellow - I would want to display it in my home... maybe on cushions or as a table runner - with black or brown background colour
ReplyDeleteI was picturing it as trim on the bottom of a white skirt for spring, but I could also see if on a cushion or purse or on the bottom of some white curtains. I definitely see if with white as it's so springy and airy.
ReplyDeleteI would use it to decorate a present of potted Spring Bulbs....it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSkirt or Jacket trim, or maybe waist detail or a wide belt? I like the idea of book covers too.
ReplyDeleteOooh that trim is pretty!
ReplyDeleteTrim and ribbon are both fab! I would use the trim on a lampshade or cushion. :D
ReplyDeleteOoooh I love that felt trim. So pretty. I've featured you in my folksy friday post this week:
