Packing and unpacking ... and cherry blossoms

My living room is currently a riot of colour, as I'm busy unpacking a big supplies order (mmm, lovely supplies) that came in this giant box yesterday:So much lovely felt! (and some other yumminess for my shops that I'll be blogging about soon).

I'm slowly packaging the felt up into bundles of squares, and there are rainbows of felt on the sofa and the coffee table and the floor... all over the place, basically

In between all this packing and unpacking, I've been sewing lots of cherry blossom hairbands:
They're one of my very favourite pieces at the moment and will definitely be playing a starring role in my own autumn wardrobe.

  1. They are so sweet, and all that felt....... where do you get it from ? or is it a trade secret.
I can never find interesting colours.

  4. Hi,

All this headband idea is great! I'm a newcomer in England... where can I buy the elastic headbands?
The cherry blossom is just lovely.

  5. I feel your pain!...I've just started into the merry world of supplying, and the whole downstairs of my house is FULL of buttons. My sister called over today to help out but it was only the tip of the iceberg. At the moment I'm arsing about the internet trying to avoid the chore of 'finding' my kitchen table!

  8. Ruth - I sell the cherry blossom hairbands in my online shops. If you want to make hairbands with your own designs, most fashion shops sell elastic hairbands like this that you could sew felt/fabric designs onto :)

nicedaydesigns - oh the things I could sell if only I had room in my house for them! best of luck with your button empire, btw.

    Helen - thankyou! :D

  16. I have your cherry blossom hairband!

I'm waiting for the right occasion to wear it, I have a christening coming up which I think will be perfect.

I love the picture of the big box of felt. There's something so pretty about lots of different coloured felt all together, something I could look at for ages!
