Last night I finally worked out what I wanted to make with the fab neon pink felt I've had in my stash for ages...Bows!! As an eighties child (who wore many a neon accessory and many a bow in her hair) they make me feel slightly old and really happy all at the same time :)
As you can see, I paired the neon pink with a still bright but slightly more subtle aqua blue felt. I might make some of these in some more "tasteful" colours (any suggestions?), but at the moment I'm loving that neon zing!
I've made some of them into brooches, and some into headbands thanks to some matching stretchy headbands from my stash ... and they will be appearing in all my shops as soon as I get a chance to list them. Off to bake some cake now though...
the bows look nice :D
ReplyDeleteI look at photos of me as a kid and think "what was I thinking when I put on neon green tights and a neon purple top" lol could see me for miles :p

Wasn't it the big fergie bows that you had to have everywhere all over your body - hair, shoulders, backs, bags etc ... what a trend that was! I love your bows though - very pretty.
ReplyDeletespot on my love x
ReplyDeleteLovely bow and can't beliave it can look so stylish made of felt!; lol...
ReplyDeleteI would love this on a headband!
ReplyDeleteMy 23 year old daughter INSISTED on wearing these smack dab on the top of her head! Now she calls them the "baptist bows", with great fondness, as she attended a baptist school in her grade school years.
