I used to have a lot of Hornsea but now just have that and a lovely green jar which has pride of place on my living room shelves :)

VPLum - Yeah, I guessed most of the plot "twists" in The Miniaturist and got quite frustrated with the characters and their decisions as the book went on. Ah well! Picnic at Hanging Rock is definitely worth a reread :)

Ariadne - Oooh, good luck with the Murakami. I read a whole bunch of his books 15 years or so ago and can't remember much about them now but I think I enjoyed them at the time (memory is a funny thing, isn't it?)

Gisela - Thanks for the tip! I shall keep my eye out for that one xx

Bugs and Fisheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06973019615558057522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3402767592335548328.post-48623925410204674922017-08-24T20:56:23.369+01:002017-08-24T20:56:23.369+01:00I love reading I usually read a book once a wee...I love reading I usually read a book once a week and I belong to a book club. I love english authors so I am enjoying your choices. PJ James bio is one of my favorites. I am from the US so some of my books probably have not reached your country.
My best book this year so far is Dinner with Edward taking place on Roosevelt Island across from Manhattan, NY. Widow invites people to his apartment and makes wonderful french dinners. Say hi to Michael Ball for me. gasuski@mac.comhttp://thankfullga447https://www.blogger.com/profile/09752118265182467689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3402767592335548328.post-31889769464941012852017-08-23T21:46:06.453+01:002017-08-23T21:46:06.453+01:00I am glad you got back in the habit of reading. th...I am glad you got back in the habit of reading. that's how it happened with me too.I started challenging myself to read and am so much enjoying it ever since. I just thought it lost it's way and I didn't really care what was going on and why. I finished it, but don't think I'll be reading any more of her books.

I'm sure I've read Picnic at Hanging Rock but don't remember anything about it - may need to seek it out and read it again.VPlumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17480543091103002226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3402767592335548328.post-65713727368552281532017-08-23T19:42:16.232+01:002017-08-23T19:42:16.232+01:00Interesting choice of books - I wasn't sure ab...Interesting choice of books - I wasn't sure about the Miniaturist either but always love Dorthy L Sayers AND you have a Hornsea mug!!!!!!!Sue Haytonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04256335290147001633noreply@blogger.com
