My parents' copy of the Book People catalogue popped through their door this morning...
... and look what's inside!
The new edition of my first book, Super-Cute Felt, is currently available from The Book People at the totally bargainous price of just £4.99.
I make very little money from these kinds of discount sales but I always think it's important to share them with you guys when I spot them, because... well, who doesn't love a bargain craft book?
At this price you could totally buy a copy for all your friends and relations this Christmas, haha.
Super-Cute Felt is of course also available from Amazon UK or Amazon USA, from the Book Depository (where you can get free worldwide delivery), or via your local bookshop, or direct from my publisher.
Psst - those Amazon and Book Depository links are affiliate links, which means if you click
on the links and buy something I'll get a small
percentage for the referral.
In other news: over at the Village Haberdashery they're having a sample sale of lots of items made for their blog tutorials, classes and shop displays... including a whole bunch of wreaths and other bits and bobs made by me!
Click here to view everything currently available in the sample sale.

DIY Felt Daffodil Headband Tutorial
One of my favourite things about felt crafting is how, with a bit of imagination, you can use one tutorial to make lots of different things. You can switch up colours, enlarge pattern pieces, add decorative details, turn a brooch into an ornament or sew it as a patch, recreate a design using coloured paper or card... there are always so many possibilities!
My new series of tutorials for The Village Haberdashery's blog springs from this idea, as I'm sharing some fun new ways to re-use the templates from my A Year of Wreaths projects.
First up: a felt daffodil headband!
This design is perfect for spring parties, or for adding a bit of floral fun to any outfit.
Click here for the step by step daffodil headband tutorial.
And click here to make the felt daffodils wreath or here to find links to all 12 wreaths in the series.

Felt Weather Mobile Tutorial
Learn how to sew a cute felt weather mobile!
I designed this mobile as a workshop project for The Village Haberdashery last year. Sadly the class didn't go ahead but happily I've turned it into a free tutorial for their blog instead (yay!).
As well as making a full mobile, you could also use this tutorial for making individual felt rainbows, rain clouds and smiling suns. They'd make fab felt brooches or ornaments, or you could use them to decorate other projects - a felt rainbow would look awesome wherever you decide to stitch it.
Click here to find the templates and step by step tutorial over on The Village Haberdashery's blog.

Geometric Faux Leather Necklace Tutorial
The final faux leather tutorial I designed for The Village Haberdashery is now up on their blog: how to make a geometric necklace!
I loved working with the sheets of faux leather, especially the metallic gold - doesn't it look fab with the turquoise blue?
Click here for the step-by-step necklace tutorial.
And here are some handy links to the faux leather tutorials I wrote earlier: a star headband, a mini notebook, and a lightning bolt brooch. The headband, necklace and lightning bolt would also be fab made with felt!

Embroidered Snowflakes Wreath Tutorial
Time for the final tutorial in my Year of Wreaths series: a sparkly snowflake wreath!
This one's a bit late (sorry!) but snowflakes are definitely for the whole of winter and not just Christmas, right?? I hope you'll agree it was worth the wait because I love how this final project turned out.
The wreath is decorated with navy blue yarn, metallic silver thread, sparkly beads and sequins, and five embroidered snowflakes.
You could also use the snowflake embroidery patterns to make felt snowflake brooches or ornaments, or to add some snowy charm to other sewing projects.
You'll find the free step by step snowflake wreath tutorial and the snowflake embroidery patterns over on The Village Haberdashery's blog.
Click here to buy the snowflake wreath kit, or follow the links in the tutorial to find all the individual supplies you'll need in The Village Haberdashery shop.
